On September 12, 2025, Maria Ma released her new album W E N D E Z E I T with Capricorn Music. A deeply personal, instrumental work, it explores themes of change, farewell, and new beginnings, touching listeners with its expressive sound.
With her hammered dulcimer, Maria Ma opens doors to a wide range of genres – from radio plays and theater music to tributes to Austrian music icons, and her own instrumental ensemble Maria Ma PUR.
On W E N D E Z E I T, she brings all these experiences together in a unique musical statement, blending floating soundscapes, rhythmic complexity, and subtle vocal textures into her distinctive compositional style.
The music was created with the original Maria Ma PUR lineup: Maria Ma on hammered dulcimer and as composer, supported by Christian Einheller on drums and percussion, Thomas Hechenberger on nylon-string guitar, and Mischa Krausz on electric bass. Michael Reitinger also contributed on electric guitar. The album was produced by Clemens Nowak.
All accompanying videos for W E N D E Z E I T were created here at Capricorn Music Studio. Among them, the piece “WIEN” holds a special place – it is representative of the album’s character and vividly showcases Maria Ma’s sound world.
